About the Decaffeination Process
Our Honduran decaf is crafted using the Mountain Water Process (MWP), a chemical-free decaffeination method that ensures the coffee maintains its natural flavors. The process uses only water to extract 96% of the caffeine from the beans, without the use of any artificial solvents. The beans are pre-soaked to expand, then introduced to a special water solution that removes the caffeine while preserving the flavor profile. After the decaffeination is complete, the beans are re-dried and bagged for transport. The water solution is filtered and recycled, making this decaffeination process both sustainable and eco-friendly.
